Captree School hosts Wellness Fair

The Captree Elementary School in West Islip recently held a Health & Wellness Fair for students and staff, designed to encourage a lifetime of healthy living, as well as allay children's fears of being in a hospital. Coordinated by Captree school nurse Patricia Reimer and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center personnel, the all-day event featured proper eating, exercise, an anti-bullying campaign, anatomy at a child's level, health games and more.

Superintendent Lou Zocchia, Hospital Vice President Charles Bove, Ms. Reimer, Captree Principal John Mullins, West Islip Health Director Wayne Shierant, and student representatives dressed in emergency room garb.
