      West Islip resident and loving father and husband Wade Robert Kromhout died March 24, 2008. He was 42 and had battled melanoma. Born and raised in West Islip, he was a graduate of its schools. For many years, he was a deck hand who dredged beaches and canals for the Union of Operating Engineers.
