Former Deer Park resident makes big news in film

William Lee, formerly of Duke Street Deer Park, has made his mark on the film world. On March 22, Lee's film Code Black was released worldwide from York Entertainment of Los Angeles, California.

Lee has worked with HBO, BET, the National Black programming Consortium, and the Black Filmmakers Foundation. Lee attended the Ohio State University, and now resides in Columbus, Ohio.

Lee's father, William Lee Stratton, a World War 2 Vet, worked for many years in Farmingdale at the now defunct Fairchild Hiller aircraft company. Lee's mother worked as an operator for New York Bell in the 1960's.

Lee's father passed away in 2000 and is now buried at Calverton Cemetery. Many of Lee's relatives still reside in Oyster Bay.

Code Black is available at Hollywood Video, Amazon.com, Blockbuster. com and many other retail and on line outlets.
