Islip Art Museum presents exhibit

The Islip Art Museum will present A Passion For Pixels, an exhibition which considers digital art in its many incarnations.

The exhibition will be on view in the Museum's main galleries at Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Ln., East Islip from June 18 to September 7. A reception for artists will be held on Sun., July 27, 1 to 4 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. On the same day, a closing reception will be held for Site Specifics'08 at the Carriage House. Reservations are not required for either event.

Bruce Deitrich Price, an author, artist and critic, will serve as guest curator for A Passion for Pixels.

In addition to the reception, the following related events have been scheduled. A tour of the exhibition followed by an informal tea on the following Thursdays at 3 p.m., June 26 and July 24. There is a $7 reservation fee which must be paid in advance. To check availability call 631-224-5402.

The Museum galleries are open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
