Lt. Commander Michael Monaghan Returns from Overseas Deployment with U.S. Navy Reserve
Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy and county Public Works officials recently welcomed home U.S. Navy Reserves Lt. Commander Michael Monaghan, of Ridge, from a seven-month deployment to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. LCDR Monaghan was Operations Officer and Headquarters Company Commander for Navy Customs Battalion TANGO in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In his civilian life, Monaghan is Division Head of Facilities Engineering for the Suffolk County Department of Public Works. Pictured (l-r): Lou Calderone, Deputy Commissioner, Public Works; Lt.
