VanBourgondien's to host garden tour fundraiser for Babylon Village Arts Council

John and Debbie VanBourgondien of Babylon Village have opened up the gates of their gardens for a oneday fundraiser supporting the Babylon Village Arts Council. The VanBourgondien family is known worldwide for importing and exporting of more than 500 bulb species. Tulips account for the bulk of the business, but the K. VanBourgondien Company is also the world's largest supplier of paper whites and amaryllis and one of the largest distributors of English daffodils. The VanBourgondien estate is situated on two acres of waterfront property.

The Babylon Village Arts Council (BVAC) is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to support the arts throughout the Babylon Village area. BVAC sponsors numerous events annually such as arts shows in Argyle Park and the historical society, monthly concert series at Astoria Federal Savings Bank, monthly poetry series a the Babylon Library, and the BayFest, a family event of music, art and food, to name just a few.

Take part in the garden event, with live music, food and wine, Sun., June 8, 2 to 5 p.m. at the VanBourgondien Estate, 191 Peninsula Dr., Babylon Village. The donation is $50 person and $45 for BVAC members. For information call 631-669-1810.
