Showcasing the Arts and Celebrating Music in Babylon School District

A celebration of music and the arts recently took place at Babylon Elementary School when parents, friends, and administrators gathered for the school's annual art and music end-of-the-year festival.
As a kickoff to the evening event, the school's first and second-grade singing club took to the stage to perform a variety of familiar tunes for the event's attendees. The audience enjoyed listening to the students sing like rock stars during their performance of We Are the Champions, and like Broadway entertainers when the young musicians sung "You Can't Stop the Beat" from the hit musical Hairspray.
Following the singing club's performance, students in kindergarten through second gradewere anxious to showcase their artistic talents. Original artwork crafted by the students decorated the school's main entranceway, and attendees took a tour of the gallery, to admire the students' creativity.
