Bay Shore "SCOPES" out the awards

On March 10, the seventh annual SCOPE School Board Forum and Awards Ceremony recognized six extraordinary Bay Shore School District individuals. Board of Education members Jerry Berka and Randy Kirchner were honored for their dedication to the children and community of Bay Shore-Brightwaters. Dr. LaQuita Outlaw, Bay Shore Middle School principal, was recognized for her outstanding administrative leadership. Additional honorees included: Bay Shore High School multimedia music teacher Ted Scalzo for Teacher Service; Security Director Corey Swinson for Support Staff Service; and Summit Council President Barbara Fishkind for Community Service.
