For Babylon Memorial Grade School sixth grader Jacqueline Testa, filmmaking has become more than just a recreational hobby, it has become a forum for communication.
Following this year's National PTA Reflections Pro- gram's theme of " I can make a difference by..." Testa created a movie using Apple computer's iMovie software, depicting various scenarios in which making certain choices will help work to make a difference in others lives, including choosing to recycle and messages of anti-bullying.
As a result of her exceptional submission, Testa was not only selected as a school winner, but also won the New York State Award of Excellence and advanced to the national level of the competition.
"It feels really good to be honored in this way," stated Testa. "I feel like this movie could serve as an example for others who are looking to make positive choices."
