Donna Morrissey, resident of Amityville

Amityville resident Donna J. Morrissey died May 16, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip after a short illness. She was 51 and had lived in the area for seven years.

She was born April 7, 1957 in Brooklyn to Jeremiah and Joan (Provenzale) Manning and lived in Deer Park for many years before mov­ing to Amityville. The animal lover worked as a systems analyst for Chase Bank in New York City for 24 years. Mrs. Morrissey leaves behind her siblings: Debra Manning and Michael Dooley and Timothy Manning and his wife Irene; her dogs Max and Jiggs; special friends: Jennie Ann Deckert and Bernadette Martens; and many other relatives and friends. She was prede­ceased by her husband, Geoffrey and her parents. Father Lee Dakota, pastor, St. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park officiated at a Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale. Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home in Amityville.
