Ruttura & Sons president receives Constructor Awardorganization's
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) presented Tommy Ruttura, president of Ruttura & Sons Construction Company, West Babylon with the organization's Roger H. Corbetta Concrete Constructor Award. The announcement was made at the organization's recent convention. The Roger H. Corbetta Concrete Constructor Award was established in l972 by ACI in recognition of Roger H. Corbetta, the Past President. The award is given in recognition of significant contributions to the concrete construction industry. Ruttura, active in the industry for more than 40 years, received the award for his outstanding contributions to ACI. He was also recognized for improving the concrete construction industry and his commitment to funding industry research. Ruttura has been president of Ruttura & Sons for 31 years. Recognized as an industry authority, he is often called upon as an expert witness. His professional affiliations include serving as the Past President of the Association of Concrete Contractors of New York and the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC). He currently serves as Chairman of the ASCC's Education Research and Development Foundation Committee. He is also a member of the American Concrete Institute, the Concrete Industry Board, the American Concrete Paving and Pumping Associations.
