Deer Park's JQA students under the tent
Students at Deer Park's John Quincy Adams Elementary School were recently seen under the big top, showing off their acrobatic skills under a red and white striped tent as part of the school's Family Circus. The JQA school gymnasium was transformed into a multi-ring circus, full of activities to challenge the students' bodies and minds. Climbing rope walls, swinging from the high rings, navigating scooters, and balancing on the beams were among the tasks students completed to cultivate physical and critical thinking skills. Parents were on hand, and pleased to see their children demonstrate these skills during individual and group task oriented activities.
Shown in the photo, Deer Park John Quincy Adams students tested their strength swinging through the air on a suspended rope over the blue lagoon and green alligator.
