Amityville Woman's Club holds annual BBQ
The Amityville Woman's Club ways and means committee, chaired by Peggy Gates, held its annual fundraiser, an old fashioned barbecue, at the home of Barbara and Walter Kachel. Close to 100 people attended. A variety of activities helped make the party a success. A fishing game was played for prizes, 50/50 tickets were sold and a large beautiful assortment of baskets and gift certificates were raffled off. The baskets and certificates were donated by club members and the generosity of at least 15 civic-minded businesses. Companionship, conversation and barbecued food were enjoyed and many of those attending went home having won prizes.
