North Babylon artist finalist in museum art competition
The Long Island Museum in Stony Brook is proud to announce that Anthony D'Avino of North Babylon is a finalist in the museum's juried art competition, Summer on Long Island.
D'Avino and other artists from across Long Island were invited to submit up to three works that best fit the theme, Summer on Long Island. His giclee print, titled Good Humor Man, is eligible to be one of four winning entries to hang in the art museum, along with the exhibition Art Students League of Long Island: Works from the Permanent Collection, through 21.
Located at 1200 Route 25A in Stony Brook, the Long Island Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate dedicated to art and history as it relates to Long Island. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Regular admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and $4 for students 6-17.
